Features
Purpose-built pop-up design
This 20ft high cube container kiosk is purpose-built for fast service environments, offering a full-width 2.3-metre servery secured with a high-strength shutter. The U-shaped bench provides ample workspace for food prep, retail display, or transaction areas, making it ideal for container cafés, food stalls, and mobile retail shops. Dual end doors provide additional flexibility for loading and access.
Plug-and-play ready
The internal fit-out is designed for immediate activation. Each unit includes dimmable LED downlights, multiple power outlets, a 15-amp ‘plug-and-play’ power inlet, and an integrated electrical distribution board with RCD protection. A cold-water sink and mixer tap are installed, supported by a cabinet base for practical under-bench storage.
Secure and mobile
Constructed from Corten steel, the kiosk container includes a 28mm ply floor, 50mm EPS cold room ceiling panels, and secure dual-door access with four lock rods and a padlock box to resist tampering. It’s weatherproof, relocatable, and compliant for both temporary events and semi-permanent retail or hospitality use.
Flexible fit-out
Adapt your kiosk to suit any operation, whether you’re running a container coffee bar, outdoor container market stall, or branded information booth. Fit-outs can include shelving, kitchen appliances, POS systems, sliding windows, air conditioning, or container modifications such as roller doors and signage panels.

20ft Pop-Up Container Shop FAQs
Can container kiosks be customised for retail or food service use?
Yes. Our kiosk containers are fully customisable to suit applications like retail shops, food stalls, or container cafés. We can add power, plumbing, ventilation, and custom signage.
What’s the difference between a container café and a container restaurant?
Container cafés typically feature smaller, fast-serve kiosk designs with a servery and prep area. Container restaurants often include seating, more extensive kitchen fit-outs, and may use 40ft containers or modular combinations.
Can I use a shipping container as a mobile bar or container coffee outlet?
Absolutely. Our modified containers can be configured as container bars or mobile shipping container cafés, with full bar fit-outs, refrigeration, lighting and point-of-sale systems.
What are the standard shipping container sizes for container kiosks and offices?
Our most popular formats are 10ft, 20ft and 40ft standard containers. We also offer high cube, double door and modular containers for specific applications like container offices or kiosk displays.
Are container modifications available for kiosk container and outdoor use?
Yes. All Royal Wolf units can be modified for outdoor container use, with lockable shutters, water-resistant finishes, and weatherproof features suitable for year-round deployment.
Can I turn a shipping container into a retail kiosk or information booth?
Yes. We provide shipping container modifications for information booths, event pop-ups, and retail kiosks with sliding windows, serving counters, and full branding options.
What do I need to consider when creating a shipping container office or container home?
When converting a sea container into office containers or shipping container homes, key factors include insulation, layout, power/water connections, and local building regulations.
What makes a container “cargo worthy” or safe for use?
Cargo worthy containers meet ISO standards for sea freight and are structurally sound. We inspect and prepare each storage container or modular unit to ensure compliance and durability.
Do you supply dangerous goods containers for regulated industries?
Yes. Royal Wolf offers compliant dangerous goods containers for safe storage of hazardous materials, with spill containment, ventilation and signage as standard.
What are the rental options for kiosk containers and container offices?
We offer flexible short- and long-term containers for rent across retail solutions, office setups and temporary site facilities. Contact us for a quote request tailored to your needs.
Do you offer top containers for stacking or space-efficient layouts?
We supply stackable containers and top containers for limited space sites or container houses requiring multiple levels. We also provide engineering advice on safe installation.
What’s included in a standard container modification quote?
Each quote request includes consultation on layout, internal fit-out, electrical and plumbing, delivery, and final build. We tailor every project to your business or brand goals.
Delivery Considerations
When arranging container delivery, specify door direction (to cabin or rear) for proper placement, ensure a level surface for smooth door operation, and advise United Rentals of any obstructions to guarantee a safe, efficient delivery.
